Tanzania ends Chipolopolo’s World Cup dream

Zambia’s dream of a maiden appearance at a FIFA World Cup has ended following Tuesday’s 1-0 home defeat to Tanzania.

A Waziri Muhudi early strike gave the Taifa Stars their much needed victory to leave the home fans stunned at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

This was Zambia’s third defeat in a row for Avram Grant’s side in the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Chipolopolo started the campaign with a comfortable victory over Republic of Congo but that was followed by defeats to Niger and Morocco on match day 2 and 3 respectively.

Very similar to what happened in 2022 qualifiers…then like now, it was all over even before it started.
Can’t understand why the crowd doesn’t help with lifting the team. Something jinxed about Ndola.
Men’s record is appallingly poor…haven’t said that no Lameck no Fashion. Not going to blame any one.

    2026 gone… now 2030 next .

  2. Lol the blame is on the players not the coach… Next games should be at Heroes pa Levy we just record poor results.

The fans couldn’t encourage the team but just got lost in the finger pointing….

Lets strive to win the remaining games. 12 more points to claim 🤔 for pride chabe otherwise!
