Sunzu out of Mozambique clash

Chipolopolo captain Stoppila Sunzu is missing from the national team that is currently training at Sunset stadium this morning.

A check by the ZamFoot Crew at national team training base reviewed that all players summoned to camp were in full swing training but the towering defender was conspicuously missing.

Zambianfootball.co.zm understands that the Sochaux towering defender who limped off in his club’s last league game is out of the clash against Mozambique.

  1. It is a sad but understandable situation. If he is not fit then don’t use him.
Use the Nkana defence that played and drew with the Arabs.
Any defence that can withstand onslaught yama Arabs, can withstand any attack.

Chabipa but we can’t put all our eggs in one basket.

  2. Sad development. Mweene has just recovered (not fully), No defence pillar in Sunzu and missing CK11 game charger + team spirit. We shoul pack the midfield and play like Barcelona.

  3. Looking at the pace of mozambique,i would suggest that we partner nyambe mulenga with nkausu in central defence if his form/fitness is ok.malama or can cover the right back spot so that malama holds the midfield with sinkala.muntali is too slow for mozambique

  4. Uganda coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has warned his team of a difficult Ghana on Saturday.

The two sides face off this weekend in an epic clash at the Namboole Stadium in Kampala. The Serbian trainer who masterminded the Cranes one all draw with the Black Stars in Kumasi in September has attempted to tone down the country’s high expectations.

“Ghana is not the team you can threaten. In recent years travelling across Africa they (Ghana) have only lost once by accident to Zambia. We are playing a great team, one of the greatest African teams but we will give our best.”

Mr coach (Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic ) let me correct you here, Ghana’s loss to Zambia was not by accident but it was FARE AND SQUARE.

  5. This delusional lot is at it again praising mediocrity, everybody knows outside Zambia this sunzu guy is just an average player who failed to secure a contract in French top division.

  6. Ghanaians have started again. Uganda coach is just giving them fake hope, he knows that even Renard tipped Ghana to win 2012 afcon at the time they where facing Zambia in the semi-finals. Alas what happened? Renard roast ghana and went on lifting the trophy.
This coach is also using HR’s tactics but at the end of the day Ghana will suffer a 4 nil defeat in Kampala.

  7. Partnering Nyambe and Nkausu in central defence would be suicide. They are both prone to mistiming challenges and causing fouls. All the penalties Zambia has conceded in competitive matches over the past 3 years have come from the two. Let them play on the fullback positions and them out of the 18 yard area as much as possible.

  8. uganda couch he as to find the beter way of warning hes players not wat his producing from his mouth!!! mr couch ar u sure it was by accident at afcon aswel as world cup qualifying in law to win yo so called Ghana?? ar dreaming sir? .
