Red Arrows football club head coach Honor Janza called referee Leonard Akapelwa stupid after seeing his side go down 1 nil to Zesco United.
Janza who was sent off in the natch revealed that he called Akapelwa stupid in the altercation that led to him being given matching orders.
Akapelwa apparently went to the Red Arrows bench to show them objects that were thrown on the pitch by suspected Red Arrows fans.
The action was seen as provocation by Janza and his technical bench leading to a serious argument after which the former Chipolopolo coach was given matching orders.
“This is why am saying when you are an amateur you don’t know where to take your complaints,” Janza complained.
“We did not expect him to come to out bench… for what?”
“Us we are technocrats. He was suppose to go to the match commissioner, the fourth official or our officials. Bringing to us was a mockery,”
“We gave him what he wanted. I told him that he is Stupid and I repeat he is stupid. He must not do that again to any coach or any bench because it’s stupid,” he added.
Red Arrows missed a chance to break into the top half of the log after they were beaten at home by Zesco United.
The result leaves Arrows stuck in 11th position on 41 points.
Both the Ref and Coach are wrong. Ref should not have gone to the Coach to show him stuff thrown on pitch and Janza went too far to call him stupid.
Janza is right with regards to the definition of the word “stupid = having or showing a great lack of intelligence or common sense.
If the referee is a premier league official at least he must be aware of normal procedures laid down by FAZ unless He is not educated, uninformed or lacks intelligence.
Unnecessary. Expect a fine and heavy ban. Fan trouble always very serious with potentially lethal consequences.
Janza were is the maturity in your actions? two wrongs don’t make a right so don’t try and justify your totally immature unprofessional behavior on the ref just because the ref was wrong.
Zambia needs friendly games against west africans on thier soil to learn how to beat them on thier soil because Zambia has never done this and will be crucial if you want to go world cup mext time
