FC Rangers head coach Steven Gerrard was full of praise for Fashion Sakala on Sunday evening after his dream starts to live at Ibrox.
Gerrard was quick to appreciate the former Zanaco striker’s attitude since his arrival from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side, KV Oostende.
“There’s still loads to come in terms of fitness and getting him up to speed and the information we’re giving him,” the former Liverpool midfielder said.
“One thing I will say is that he’s come in with an incredible attitude.
“He’s been an absolute role model to everyone where he’s come from in terms of his country. He’s been bright, wanting to learn and pick up every bit of information. He’s smiling, he’s enjoying it and he’s grateful to be here.”
“He’s been an absolute pleasure to work with in the opening ten days but there are loads more to come. You can see he’s exciting. We still need to polish the diamond but hopefully, he’ll become the player we expect,” he added.

Sakala opened his FC Rangers goal account as he netted the equalizer in the Light Blues’ 2-1 win over Real Madrid in their final preseason-friendly match.
Sakala and his new teammates will start their season against Livingston on Saturday.

Very diplomatic indeed. Gerald is happy about fashion’s amazing perfomance. He invested so much trust and confidence in the young lad and hand him starting position. Fashion didnot disappoint. Its good to receive warm welcome from the coach and fans.
Well Stevie is the best box to box midfielder the game has ever seen. I envy Fashion playing in the powerhouse’s team. Stevie had those precision timed Crossfield passes and, he could also bomb forward with well measured strokes. A big engine of a man. So Stevie’s game was a lot about precision more than anything else. Probably had a very similar instinct with our own Kalusha Bwalya, and iam comparing different players. And the above article is about Fashion Sakala who is a young lad horning his own game…
Good comments @Tony Mash & @Kuku.
