Zambia’s export to the Spanish La Liga Francisco Mwepu was involved in a pre-season match for his club Cadiz.
Cadiz had a practice match against Espanyol as the two sides gear up for the new La Liga season.
Mwepu started the match in Marbella and helped Cadiz to a 1-0 win.
The 23 year old is one of the players who has been promoted to the main team following his impressive performance with Cadiz 2 last season.
The burly striker made his La Liga debut at the end of last season.
Following his exploits in Spain, Zambia coach Avram Grant drafted him into the last month’s CAF 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ivory Coast and made the match day squad.
The former Zambia Under-20 striker’s elder is former Zambia captain Enock, who retired following a hereditary cardiac condition.
