Newly appointed FAZ Technical Director Moses Sichone has been impressed with the Chipolopolo Boys who are currently in camp ahead of the CHAN tournament in Morocco.
‘Big Mo’ has been consistent fixture at Heroes Stadium were a locally assembled squad has set base.
The former Nchanga Rangers centre back who spent over a decade in Germany has been keen observer in his new role.
“From the three training sessions I have watched, the boys have given a good impression in terms of preparation for the coming [CHAN tournament] but there are a few things that need to be done,” Sichone said with caution.
The former FC Cologne defender also emphasized on the need for boys to know that the Chipolopolo faithful were expecting the CHAN trophy.
“The boys are motivated. This is one part in football where the boys have to know where we’re going and I’m sure all the Zambians are expecting the team to bring back the cup,” the former Nchanga Rangers defender said.
When asked further which things the players needed to work on, Sichone said.
“There are a few things like physically and mentally as the league in Zambia just finished and they’re in good shape.
“It’s just a few things that the coaching staff has to look into to sharpen the team. Like the approach to training matters a lot, tactics; individual tactics, good tactics and team tactics matter depending on the system one is using.
“Once each player is aware of what he’s got to do in that position, it makes it easier for the whole team.
