Shonga on target for relegation threatened Gagra

Zambian striker Justin Shonga was on target for his Georgian Crystabet Erovnu Liga side FC Gagra.

Shonga netted the second goal to rescue a point for Gagra in their 2-2 draw with Samgurali away at the 26th May Stadium.

The goal is Shonga’s first in the Georgia top flight league.

The former Orlando Pirates forward will hope to now maintain his goalscoring form and help his club out of their current woes.

Gagra are currently second from bottom in the League with six rounds of matches left to play.

Shonga has joined Georgian top-flight club Football Club Gagra from MTN Super League side Nkwazi.

Shonga returned to Zambia last season after years in South Africa and enjoyed a fine season as he was involved in 17 goals, scoring 10 goals and assisting 7 in 20 appearances for Zambia Police sponsored outfit, Nkwazi.

Shonga has scored 16 goals for the Zambia National Team in 33 appearances.
