Club Sportif Sfaxien has been hit by injuries ahead of a crucial CAF Confederation Cup encounter against Zambia’s Nkana FC. The two teams will square it off in about four days time at Nkana Stadium.
And CS SFAXIEN of Tunisia have arrived in the country ahead of Sunday April 7, 2019 CAF Confederation Cup first leg quater-final match to be staged at Nkana Stadium.
The Tunisian side touched down Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport at about 15:30hours aboard a Tunisian Military Plan.
Sfaxien coach Ruud Krol will be without a number of players including influential attacker Alaa Marzouki who has not even travelled to Zambia due to an injury. He picked up an injury in a Cup match against Stade Tunisien which Sfaxien won and Marzouki scored the decisive goal.
Krol will be hope that only fit striker Firas Chawat will be at his best to fire for the Northern Africa side. Chawat is the main man and was in fine form for the Arab El Juventus and scored the opener in the 2-1 win against Stade Tunisien.
Others who are in the medics room are striker Fabrice Elysée Kouadio Kouakou, attacking midfielder Mohamed Ali Moncer, 25 year old left back Omar Bouraoui, goalkeeper Sabri Ben Hsan, striker Donou Hubert and midfielder Mohamed Ali Moncer.
Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi will be praying to see striker Walter Bwalya fit for the game, Walter missed the match which Nkana lost to Lumwana Radiant in Kitwe. Explosive winger Harrison Chisala will miss the game as he is nursing an injury he picked up during the international break. Chisala has been impressive for Nkana In recent weeks including in the victory against Simba SC.
Another player to miss this enconter is 2012 AFCON winning midfielder Chisamba Lungu who will be out for more than 6 months. Chambeshi looks like he will name a familiar squad with a few changes.
Ba FAXET aba, they are already playing mind games.
How do you bring an injured player to Zambia all the way from Tunisia?
Bonse abashile are fit to play.
True, tebakukonkelesha aba. North African teams have been playing mind games from time in-memorial; and each time they do that, Zambian teams come down crashing with a thud! It will be sad for ba Chambeshi and team to buy into these mind games. Sfaxien will come out blazing. I doubt Nkana is going through. I await to swallow my humble pies.
I agree with you guys. These are all mind games by Sfaxien. I didn’t know Rudi Krol the former Orlando Pirates Coach is Managing the team now.
Nkana are very bad travelers and if they don’t get any anything like a 2 goal cushion at home then its over.
IS THIS ALL ON ZAMFOOT. DAY IN DAY OUT. BORING AS HELL. LEARN HOW TO DO IT FROM “KICKOFF SOUTH AFRICA”!! WHY WASTE PRECIOUS BUNDLES HERE. YOU ARE AS BORING AS THE SOCCER YOU PROFESS TO PRESENT….bunch of dim wits
