Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President Andrew Kamanga says the Copper Queens have several high-level teams eager to face in their build up to the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Kamanga says after the ongoing COSAFA Women’s Championship, FAZ will unveil the Copper Queens roadmap for international friendly matches.
“After the Cosafa, we will zero on the roadmap for international friendly matches. We have several high-level candidates that are eager to play with us. That is a roadmap that will be rolled out in the aftermath of the Cosafa.’’
The Copper Queens edged nine Champions, Nigeria 1-0 in Morocco to clinch bronze medals, the first for the country.
The Copper Queens also qualified for the 2023 Australia/New Zealand FIFA Women’s World Cup by reaching the semifinals of the tournament becoming the first Zambia senior football team to do so.
