Seven Kafue Celtic players remain in Georgia for assessment

Seven Kafue Celtic players have remained in Georgia on the request of Locomotive Tbilisi.

Kafue Celtic was recently in Eastern Europe and played three friendly matches on the sidelines of the Euro U21 Championship.

The Crocs drew one match and lost twice.

Despite suffering two defeats, the boys impressed.

Midfield twin pair Frank and Floyd Chileshe caught the eye with a host of Georgian clubs after their signatures.

Winger Darton Bwalya, who spent last season on loan at Konkola Blades was a marvel to watch down the flanks.

Arguably one of the best youngsters in the country, Boniphanseo Phiri’s performance in the final 8 goal thriller match won him some plaudits.

The others are Vincent Kalinda, Twiza Mulenga and Agripa Mwila.

The seven teenagers will spend the next two weeks being assessed and hopefully secure Euro contracts.

Former Zambia internationals Emmanuel Mbola and Chisamba Lungu started their European adventure in Armenia and Georgia respectively.
