The second batch of the Copper Queens technical bench and players have finally left for France ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The team left for Paris on Wednesday while the first batch travelled five days ago with Team Manager Clemetina Mazuba
The group comprised of head coach Bruce Mwape and his assistants; Florence Mwila and Charity Nthala.
Players include Lushomo Mweemba, Ng’ambo Musole, Rhoda Chileshe, Esther Siamfuko and Eunice Sakala.
The inclusion of goalkeeper Eunice Sakala is an interesting one especially after she was excluded from the squad as Chitete Munsaka was recalled.
Munsaka was initially ruled out due unspecified injury suffered during training.
The travel arrangements are being facilitated by the three parties – National Olympic Committe of Zambia, NOCZ, Government and FAZ.
America based quartet Prisca Chilufya, Grace Chanda, Racheal Kundananji and Barbra Banda are yet to join.
The Copper Queens will play two friendly games before the start of the tournament.
Zambia is in same group with USA, Germany and Australia.
