Egypt based striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba has been excused from the national team camp and will not be part of the team that will travel to Kenya.
This is according to a statement released by the Football Association of Zambia media manager Nkweto Tembwe.
Tembwe said Sate Sate has almost exhausted the six chances a professional players can be called to play for his national team.
The former Nkana striker has been a consistent feature in the U23 national team
In the Chipolopolo camp, only Lubambo Musonda (Gandzasar Kapan, Armenia), Emmanuel Mbola, Evans Kangwa (Hapoel Ranana, Israel) are being awaited after all other foreign based players joined camp in the evening to add to the three who reported in the afternoon.
George Lwandamina is expected to have a full house by the end of the day with Lubambo Musonda expected to be the last join as he arrives at 14:45 on Tuesday.

I didn’t know that a professional players are accorded Six chances to be called by their respective National Teams…
News to me as well, as this is on a FIFA day. What about Patson Daka, he has too played more than 6 times. Why was he not excused. Feeding us with lies pathetic FAZ, do you really think some of we fans/supporters are kids? Jesus Christ
poor thinking dont you knoe that it only apples to foreign based players
its ok next time young man, the big boyz r in camp
A saints fan had this to say Saint Clements says…
Don’t like the way this article was written.
So, Emmanuel didn’t set St Mary’s alight, but he did give his all for the team every time I saw him play.
Instead of calling him a ‘flop’ in the headline we should show some respect to a player whose dream was to star for a team like us and probably today realises that’ll never happen.
So Emmanuel, I for one wish you the best of luck with the rest of your career
Metz is a good side, all the best mayuka
Is patson daka better than sate sate? There is too much corruption in zambia
ba chicken dont make a
mistake again by starting this young boy daka. he is finished, even at his club power he is nt a starter. he is a bench warmer.
In years gone by…under20 players were known as school internationals. In the local league their perfomance was well above average, and earned them a callup to the KK11 eg Bernard. Chanda, Kaiser Kalambo, Simutowe, Willie Phiri, Kalusha Bwalya, Charles Musonda! They were not imposed on the Coach, they deserved it, going by club form. I don’t see the need for Patson and Jackson in this team! And I don’t anticipate goals in the front line picked. Rodger Kola is far much better than these below average guys! Lwandamina is very much aware of this and shud have summoned him for assessment. But the problem he is such a puppet and boolicker. 3 positions in front r for non perfomers! WHY! Look guys who is gonna miss Sate Sate going by his performance in the last 6 CHIPOS games? A total flop. HIs place shud b given to Kola. The corruption and hatred by Kalusha is sickening. Its like he has a mandate to waste taxpayers money on players that bring him personal benefits! We r so docile in this country!
Our future in a defensive midfielder is in Jack Chirwa
Sate Sate wont pitch…no disrespect but I’m sure this is certainly not a train smash.
Walter Bwalya and Friday Samu, I will honestly say I don’t know the quality of these two strikers so will not comment on them.
For me we should play our traditional 4-4-2 with a high line and we should play the pass and move game not long ball game. If we play a high line we should then use two defensive midfielders in Nathan and Kondwani, if we don’t play a high line then we should only play one defensive midfielder, either of the two can do. Central defence should be Katebe and Sunzu, wings should be Lubambo and Kalaba strikers Mbesuma and Evans/Jackson. On the fullbacks truth be told Mbola has lost his crossing into the box abilities, he makes the runs but too often they build into nothing. Kabaso also does not put enough balls into the box from the wing when he overlaps. For me one of our weakest points is building an attack from the fullbacks.
Chisamba should be given a free role in central midfield just behind the two strikers.
So lwandamina has to take 23 players to Nairobi then let’s c u he leave out. 1 parson Daka. 2 kayawe kapota. 3 Friday Samuel
4 ?.
ve watched Benson SAKALA of power dynamos is quite a good player n is improving with every game he plays. I guest should be given a chance to be among the 23. don’t know anything about Solo SAKALA.
Walter Bwalya has got a good pass that could lethal if well excuted but the issue is who get that pass? Mbesuma. Evans. Jackson. kaya MWe.
What are Kayawe Kapota and Patson Daka doing in the Team. Lwandamina can you please explain why you and your FAZ bosses have included these 2. The 2 boys are not starters at their clubs
“six chances a professional player can be called to play for his national team”………hahahahahahahahahahahahaha what a rule?? Rule from zambia I guess. I’ve neva seen/read/heard this RULE before.
FAZ are pathetic individuals. Who are they lying to? Patson should not start the games. In fact they not even be in the national team.
HAHAHAHAHA FAZ you can do better. Please give us a better reason that someone exhausting his 6 Chances.
Crisis … No strikers . They should play a five man midfield and one striker up front… Evans kangwa …
its only Mbesuma, Walter bwalya and Kangwa who make sense in front the rest (Kalengo,Jakison ma labishi bati!) let Luka Lungu replace sate Sate
Exactly my point. We have no confidence in our front line coz most of them are useless!!!
Zamfoot
Let us be honest when was the last time Mbesuma scored for his club? Do we need him I may be wrong I do not see Zambia getting a goal against Kenya
In your brains bro.
OFF TOPIC
I saw the video showing the goals scored by Evans Kangwa. The first one was from outside the D Zone. The second one was a fantastic goal, such a goal can only be scored by a nature striker, chipping the ball over the keeper like that requires accuracy and football brains.
That was really nice to watch. Work hard young man you have a bright future
Mbesuma is the only goal scorer we have in the squad who can command, assist and score.Evans Kangwa will not shine if Mbesuma is not in the starting line.As for F.Samu this young player must given chance in the second half because he has power which he will bring in and will be assisted by experienced Mbesuma.Never make another mistake to substitute Mbesuma as it was the case in Lesetho and F.Samu should be in the final squad, this young man is another Mayuka. Also Walter Bwalya must be in the final selection,at the expense of a bench warmer na Makula.
“Tembwe said Sate Sate has almost exhausted the six chances a professional players can be called to play for his national team”
Iwe Tembwe, what is wrong with your head and who do you think you are fooling? This sounds like a goodnight story parents read for children. Nangu ku bepa takwaba
Ati, exhausted the six chances, what about Patson Daka, he has played more than 8 games at international level, why do you Tembwe excuse him and Kapota please
In as much as I don’t know about this rule the statement said ‘a professional’ so as I see it, daka is not a pro so he is eligible
Is Patson Daka having a job and playing football as part time? Power players train everyday, that in my view makes them pro as players live out of playing football. You do not need to play outside your country to be a pro. This goes for GBFC and Red Arrows players
Maybe we need to define what profession stands for? As a matter of fact we all have our professions, that we live off
not excuse
These Faz clowns, now this guy is lost his mind about the Sate issue, please drop Patson,Kapota and do not not drop that Sakala lad he is so good so is the new kid on the block Bwalya.
Primitive football association, where the head has final say on the list of players to be called and to be featured on match day! Nonsense!
The statement released by faz about sate sate its true.. The player was over used and i feel he is exhausted .. Some of the matches he featured were not on fifa calendar they had to negotiate with his club. On the issue of patson i thing we being unfair to this young boy by passing negative comments. You have all forgotten that he the who scored for Zambia against Namibia .. He is our future player.. Kapota kayawe proved to whole nation that he is the next sunzu. He is the current under 23 centre back.. Nkana is playing without a system that’s why kapota is struggling .. The under 23 is by far better than nkana and kapota will continue to enjoy game time..
@Tony Mash, i don’t recall Patson ever scoring for Chipolopolo against Namibia…i have watched both Patson and Kayawe and they are just average players who would probably even struggle to play in FAZ Division One.
When is this chicken giving us the final 23 men?
Zamfoot..the final 23 men pliz
Patson converted a penalty against Namibia …
What is that boy patson daka doing in that squad? Ba chicken naimwe……we hopethe boy won’t make the 23 man aquas bcoz he doesn’t play at power(he’s not a starter) too much marketing and. Experiments ku national team yaba.
Wat about fwayo tembo
