Sakala plays 12 minutes in Rangers draw

Zambian forward Fashion Sakala Jnr came off the bench in Rangers’ 1-1 draw by Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night.

Sakala replaced Ianis Hagi in the 78th minute as Rangers pushed for a winner.

Hagi’s first half superb goal was cancelled out by Lewis Ferguson’s second half penalty ensured a share of the spoils.

This was Rangers’ first match in 2022 as the league resumed after the winter break.

The Gers currently are top of the summit with 52 points from 21 matches.

Celtic are second on 48 points.

For Sakala, he was making his 15 appearance of the season in the league with 9 coming of the bench and 6 starts.

The 24 year old former Nchanga Rangers and Zanaco attacker has scored 5 goals so far.
