Zambia national team winger Rodrick Kabwe has joined South Africa DSTV premiership side, Sekhukhune United FC.
The club confirmed the acquisition of the former Kabwe Warriors man with a post on their social media pages.
“Sekhukhune United FC is pleased to announce the signing of Rodrick Kabwe from Zanaco FC.”
Kabwe links up with goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata and striker Justin Shonga at the Babina Noko side.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who previously enjoyed spells in South Africa with Ajax Cape Town and Black Leopards, returns to the DStv Premiership after three months with Zambian giants Zanaco FC, a with whom he won the Super League title back in 2016.
“First of all, I would like to thank the board, the coaches and the players. It’s been a long-time coming, the coaches wanted me even before the end of last season, but finally, I’m back. I’m here to join the family.” Kabwe said following the announcement.
Sekhukhune United are currently 8th on the log table with 25 points after 17 matches.
