Zambian winger Rodrick Kabwe scored a fantastic free kick but it was not enough to save his relegation flirting Ajax Cape town as they suffered a two goals to one defeat to Amazulu on their return to Premier Soccer League (PSL) action after a one month break.
Amazulu were the better side in the early minutes of the first half but could not break the dead lock. Ajax Cape town came close in the 34th minute with Yannick Zakri but his low shot went narrowly wide off the target.
Usuthu retained from the break with purpose and it only took them five minutes to break the dead lock as 30 year old midfielder Mhlegi Cele beat two defenders before slotting home with a low shot and put Amazulu in the lead.
Kabwe then had his moment ten minutes later with his well taken free kick to pull the Urban Warriors back on level terms. Fifteen minutes from time Siyanda Zwane beat his own goalkeeper to put Usuthu back in the lead .
Ajax gave it their all but Amazulu held on to win the match by two goals to one to level them flirting with relegation.
