In her book, Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error, author Kathryn Schulz writes, “Our love of being right is best understood as our fear of being wrong.”
In other words, our commitment to believing that we know exactly what’s happening and why, and what to do about it, is reinforced by us trying very, very hard not to think about this possibility: “What if I’m making a mistake?” Or perhaps, even worse, “What if I already made one?”
Relegation threatened, Nchanga Rangers seems to have realised that they made a mistake last year when they let go of Robert Tembo who helped them win promotion to the top flight.
The Chingola based outfit has reappointed Tembo to take over from Aggrey Chiyangi who they sacked over the weekend.
Chiyangi took over from Tembo and now Tembo returns to replace the man who replaced him.
Rangers confirmed the return of the former BARTS and Kafue Celtic head coach in a press statement availed to the ZamFoot Crew.
“Nchanga Rangers Football Club is glad to announce that Robert Tembo has returned to the Club as Head Coach and has immediately taken charge of the team’s preparations for the last two games of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) 2022/23 Super League season.
Coach Ronald Mukosha, who was in charge in an interim capacity will revert to the role of first assistant.
The initial agreement with the coach is on a two-year contract with an option for
extension. Coach Tembo’s immediate task in to ensure the team remains in the Super
Division while the Club continues to implement its plans beyond the current season.”
Club president Shapi Shachinda is confident Tembo’s capabilities will help the club retain their Super League status.
“We welcome Robert Tembo to the Club and believe in his capabilities to work with the other coaches and ensure they retain the Club’s status in the Super Division,” he said.
“We will provide all necessary support to the technical bench and the players, like we have always done, so as to fulfill the Club’s objectives.”
“Our ExCo team appeals to our genuine supporters and fans to give the required
support to the team in the crunch remaining games. We do not take delight in the situation the team has found itself in contrary to other assertions. This team is still in a phase of reconstruction and has limited resources. We are hoping that things will brighten in the coming season and we can have a budget that can support our objective to make Brave Nchanga Rangers great again,” Mr. Shachinda said.
