Roan United’s Chakawa demands improvement

Roan United coach Satchmo Chakawa has chosen to remain modest despite his team making a sparkling start to the 2025/26 National League season.

Stylish have a four point lead at the top of the table with 15 points after winning their first five matches.

Roan have so far beaten Ndola United, Kitwe United, Makeni All Stars, Atletico Lusaka and Mpulungu Harbour.

Speaking to reporters at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya after the recent 2-0 win over Ndola United, Chakawa said Stylish Roan have a lot to learn as the season advances.

“We are a young team still developing. We still have a lot to learn. At the moment we are winning games but we are yet to blend. We are still knowing each other,” Chakawa said.

“Our primary goal is to survive relegation and so our focus is the next game. We will see at the end of the season where these points will take us but I’m happy with the start. Hopefully we can continue with this form,” he said.

According to Radio Icengelo Sports, Roan’s next match is against Aguila Stars away at Reiz Arena (Woodlands Stadium) in Lusaka this Saturday.
