Barts Queens dazzling starlet Fridah Munsanje has been a darling to watch in the ongoing 2023/24 FAZ Women’s League Southern Province Division One League.
Munsanje has scored 6 goals in three matches including a hattrick on match day one against Zimba Rising Stars.
Fridah, who is only 14-years of age has been making headlines in Southern Provincial League with her exciting play continuing from where she left off last season for Barts Queens in the Choma District Women’s League with her excellent dribbling skills and pace on the wings with an eagle’s eye for goals.
After a match day one hattrick, Fridah went on to score a brace against Pemba Queens before scoring the only goal of the match the past weekend away to Choma Cabinet Stars making it 6 goals in as many games played so far as she fights for the golden boot while facing competition from the likes of Carol Nsondo of Musports who is on 5 goals in two games.
Barts, a team that is led by Coach Austin Kandando has been in fine form and currently lead the table with 9 points after securing a 100% winning start to the season and 2 points ahead of second-placed FC MUZA who are tied on points with Randers Queens and only separated on goal difference.
Coach Kandando has described the start of the season as amazing despite having a young squad but appreciated his lasses for the character shown which compliments his short passing style of play.
“We are trying by God’s Grace, we are still building a team because most of the players are just developing. I was not ready to play in Division One League, but we are trying to copy up and I love the Confidence, Character and Determination of my team and we shall definitely fight till the end as team Elephants,” Kandando told the ZamFoot Crew.
Barts’ next assignment is a home match against Libuyu United this weekend.
