Zambian Champions, Red Arrows will face Tanzanian giants, Young Africans (YANGA SC) for this Year’s YANGA day.
The match marks the climax of ‘Wiki ya Mwananchi’ event which is celebrated by Young Africans Football Club.
The friendly match will take place on 4th August at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
This comes barely a week after winning the 2024 CECAFA Dar Port Kagame Interclub Cup title in Tanzania.
Chisi Mbewe’s side won both the MTN Super League and the ABSA Cup.
YANGA DAY
Citizen’s Week, also known as Yanga Day, is a special event held every year to celebrate the peak of the Yanga club where the introduction of the new squad of players and the technical bench takes place.
This year, this event is scheduled to take place on August 4, 2024 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
Benjamin Mkapa International Stadium will be the centre of the main celebration of the Citizens which is known as Yanga Day 2024.
This is a special day where the Yanga club gathers its fans with excitement of its kind, while introducing new stars who will represent the club in next season.
The introduction of the Yanga Sc squad for the 2024/2025 season will be accompanied by entertainment from various artists and finally a friendly game that will make Yanga SC fans witness the level of hard work from the new squad.
