Red Arrows have returned to winning ways following a hard-fought 2-1 win over Prison Leopards in a week 23 MTN Super League match played at Nkoloma Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Alassane Diarra scored a late goal to secure maximum points in a dramatic encounter.
Conlyde Luchanga put Prison Leopards in the lead just after 21 minutes. Ken Mumba failed to deal with Isaac Ngoma’s shot which fell to Luchanga and the Golden Boy made no mistake scoring his seventh goal of the season.
The Airmen pushed for an equalizer but Albert Kachinga’s men where equal to the task making sure the match went to the break with them in the lead.
Arrows however drew level just four minutes into the second stanza, Ricky Banda benefiting from a loose ball before unleashing a powerful shot which left Patrick Chooma in the Collect Boys’ goal with no chance.
The goal is Ricky Banda’s 9th in the league and ends a two match drought for the former Indeni Forward.
Arrows thought they had taken the lead in the 58th minute after Fred Soutra Tshimenga netted a beauty but it was wrongly ruled out for offside by the official led by referee Audrick Nkole.
The match was stopped around the 77th minute following some drama with Chooma’s towel, unclear what the fuss was all about .

Alassane Diarra finally scored his first of the season for the Airmen late in additional time to seal a well deserved 2-1 win.
The win means the Airmen temporarily open a seven point lead at the summit.
Earlier on at the same venue, Power Dynamos needed a Luka Chamanga penalty to rescue a point against Lusaka Dynamos.
Harry Kayula put Elite in the lead just before half with a calm finish inside the area.
Abayellow leveled matters in the 67th minute from the spot. Luka Chamanga was brought down inside the area, the left back dusted himself up and sent the Lusaka Dynamos goalkeeper the wrong way.
