  1. OK so how may will be trimmed from the provisional squad to carter for the foreign based players? Any clues Ba Zamfoot?

  2. Its quite surprising how certain players keep getting unconditional call-ups at the expense of real hardworking players….is it because they are an exceptional talent or maybe other players, though hardworking, are not just good enough. How else can one explain the call-ups of Kayawe Kapota and the widely publicized Patson? if these call-ups are performance base we would not have seen the above on that list at the expense of the Cletus Chotas, the Gift Sakuwahas, the Aubery Fungas. This mentality is killing our game, and we seem not to have player to take on the button from the ones that won us the AFCON in 2012 coz of this sickening mentality. The new coach shud be announced fast, maybe he can come up with a better philosophy in that area

  3. Nothing new, same usual style. Lwandamina was just given a list and commanded to make the announcement, so that it appears as though it is him who has made the selection

If it is true some better and hard working players from the ZPL have been left out then we are just fooling ourselves

  4. Poor selections as usual nothing new. We only expect failure as long as we keep having a local coach coz player are not picked on merit.

  5. What does patson do? He has never scored any goal…..call players on merit, faz you are making us lose interest in the national team

  6. May be we the fans should protest by making banners and plakards written, ” Abash Patson Daka and Kayawe Kapota.” It is very disheartening to call Patson Daka and leave out Conlyde Luchanga. According to current form, Patson Daka should not be anywhere near the national team. We needed Clatous Chota Chama and Shadrick Musonda inthe squad. On the pros, we need Roger Kola, Jacob Mulenga, Evans Kangwa and Lineker Mwikisa to sharpen our blunt strike force. Can’t wait for inactment of constitution so that we can have lethal striker Ndumba Makeche and perhaps the Musonda brothers especially Charlie jnr.

  7. Awe mwandi, what has “chicken”seen in Patson Daka,Jackson Mwanza and Kapota?I have always believed that Mwanza and Daka are very immature strikers at international level, yet to make a resounding impact in crucial games.

    • On Jackson Mwanza, I beg to differ. I was one person who was anti-Jackson. But I can say that the guy is hard working and deserves a call up. I watched him yesterday and the guy is on fire. I think he can improve and up his game with time, except that age is not on his side. I agree with you on Patson Daka and Kayawe Kapota; These two kids are not senior team material. Somebody is marketing these boys for personal gain.

  8. For me, Patson Daka will provide perfect study material on the topic ‘How not to Groom a player’. When I first discovered this boy from Naboye Secondary School during the Coca Cola under 17 tournament, this boy had all what it takes to become a lethal striker. However, he has been rushed into a maze of confusion by featuring the boy in literally all national teams, I.e. under 17,20, 23, CHAN and senior national team. The boy has lamentably failed to perform. He should not have been rushed too soon. Look at the Charlie cool boys. If they were all here, by now they could have been featured in all national teams.

    • Absolutely. I think it boils down to the fact that at the moment Zambia is experiencing a dire shortage of naturally gifted players. So the slightest indication of genuine potential in any young kid is turned into a “gold rush” by Faz, clubs and scouts. In the end the kid’s development process is dwindled and a promising prospect ends up nowhere. We are destroying these kids by rushing them. Very poorly handled by Faz.

    • What an observation. ROK for President. The problem facing us is the inability to assess situations critically. We need sound minded persons like ROK to be managing our clubs. Management abreast with information systems & utilizing such systems should be the cornerstone of our developmental strategies in football. Thank you ROK.

  9. Patson Daka does not deserve a place in the senior national team. That boy is useless. Its not yet time for him in the senior team.

  10. WHY ALWAYS PATSON,KOPOTA,MWANZA AND YOU HAVE LEFT GOOD PLAYERS CHILESHE MUSONDA OFKITWEUNITED,JACOBPHIRI OF KABWE WARRIORS

  11. I think some one is marketing this boy patson daka for real…..zambia v guine he was our top man a boy in a big game and he couldn’t score, U23 ivory coast again on top and it was nill all, chan team again top man and he could not score…its too much, let them play the boy in U20 games we need people who can score, they should be calling players on merit….like lubambo who can aregue calling the boy? We can aregue if they bench him…jacob is scoring we need strikers who are scoring in the coming games.

  12. DISASTER

My dear Fellow fans/supporters the administration of Zambian football has sunk to the level of “Mulenga and Jelita”. Look at Mulenga, Mulenga is kicking the ball etc.

FAZ should understand the fact that winning AFCON means they have done the job, no, no. That should have been just the beginning of good things to come, but it seems it was the end of good things for Zambian football, because FAZ are very satisfied with what they have archived so far. If the current FAZ’s only target was to win AFCON and COSAFA, then they must as well call it a day. Using AFCON2012 as a pillow to cling on to power at FAZ without any improvement is unreasonable

We need a FAZ administration that would strive to improve all the time. Build on what you have done right and correct that you have done wrong. This where CSI (Continue Service Improvement) comes in.

FAZ Chairman Kalusha Bwalya had this to say after the AFCON2012 win. “It is just the beginning! Everyone whose mentioned and nominated is a winner for me. I hope these nominations and any awards will inspire the whole country and our Chipolopolo to keep this momentum going into 2013,” Kalusha said; adding, “I see a confident group which can go on to reach even higher heights. I feel it is a start of exciting times for our Football.”

Question is; Is this what we have seen since AFCON2012 up to today?

The FAZ Chairman also said and I quote; ” Kalusha reckons the vision, mission and objectives laid out by his administration

Question; Does FAZ have the vision, mission and objectives outlined in some document, if so could FAZ make its vision, mission and objectives published on their website so that we fans/supporters with the heart of Zambian football could have a chance to go through the documents. This should include the values of FAZ. Every serious organisation has values

    The values of FAZ could as an example read as follows;

    1. Focus on the players and market
    2. Transparency and accountability
    3. Trust and Respect
    4. To be the best run Association

As soccer fans/supporters and Government we are stakeholders in the way football is run in Zambia, and as such we are entitled to be furnished with all the information regarding the way FAZ run the football affairs. Running a football association has no secrets nor is any information confidential unless someone is trying to conceal/hide something

So ba FAZ it is time you open up and the starting point would be to make your books of account available to the public so that those interested can scrutinize them and ask question where necessary

It can’t be right that everything in FAZ is a secret, right from team selection, coach appointment are done through the back door

Just look at the selection of the team to face Kenya. Everyone can see it was not done in the interest of Zambian football. If at all it is Lwandamina who selected this team, can he come out in the open (ZNBC), and explain to the fans/supporters why he left out certain players who happen to be performing at their clubs and instead opted to include failures. Many of us find this very peculiar. There is no logic in the way you FAZ and Lwandamina (black sheep) have been doing things

Do not take Zambians for granted. Ask KK and MMD, in case you do not know what I am talking about

I will continue to post as long as I live

    Cheers

  13. Uncle J you are very right, FAZ is taking us for granted. We love zambia this is our only country but they are destroying what we love most zambian football and the national team to be precise. For real we wonder how is the team selected and who selects this team? Even the line up you will find just something else…… Ba FAZ please accountability is neede. Too much secrecy…..the isue of the couch we are just geting stories he’s been found but we never heard or saw applicants noteven a single name….we are stakeholders and we need to be respected.

  14. lwandamina is useless as janza .when vincent mwale mentioned that the new coach will be getting $25000 some bloggers here said that money is too much ,zambia is a poor country blahrrrrrrblah, but look at the team lwandamina has named .it is a continuation from where janza left ,no new talents.what football have they seen in this boy called katema? its total rubbish.

  15. Guys keep cool. I suggest lets have a game between this team against all the players You think should have been selected

  16. Guys keep cool. I suggest lets have a game between this team against all the players You think should have been selected mixed with former foreign players who are back in our league. Then you can pick players on merit.

  17. Whatever chicken can do here no problem. But the starting eleven against Kenya we need mweene, kabaso, sunzu, muntali, mbola,Sinkala, mtonga, kalaba, chisamba, lubambo,Jacob mulenga, substitutes Rodger kola, mayuka, katebe, nkausu, Isaac chansa, singuluma. Take this team to Kenya and come with the results.

  18. our contrition to ur poor selectn, will make u job less, its nt club but nation team of zambia population as whole , lukng at ur selectn of players, its lke sum 1 wz forcong 2do it, on de sum squard include c katongo, on otherhand shld u fail to call jacob mlenga, u nid 2 reign,

  19. Mweene, nkausu or kabaso, 3 mbola, 4 katebe or muntali,5 sunzu 6sinkala or mtonga, kalaba, lubambo, Jacob mulenga, Rodger kola, chisamba, evans KANGWA and Allan mukuka , singuluma. Kwamana. Go to Kenya with these players and you will win.

  20. The refusal by the Zambian corporate world to bank roll the coach’s salary is a sad development but perfectly in line with what is currently happening world-wide. Coca-Cola is similarly asking itself if it can continue bank rolling FIFA after corruption allegations against the Sepp Blatter administration. Sad as this development may be, it is a self-inflicted pain by those who think they can misappropriate public funds and feel they do not owe anybody any explanation. At the rate things are going, I will not be surprised if one day we work up to a rude shock that MTN and Zambian Breweries have withdrawn (God forbid) their sponsorship.
Once you lose trust and credibility, it is very difficult to restore it. My own assessment is that the future of our football is bleak and it will really get bad before it picks up again.

  21. Y that small Daka,he has failed to score any goal in a league &expect him to score against Kenya? Kenya is not a league team.it is national team comprises of professionals, watchout

  22. poor selection : shareck musonda, kelvin mubanga, goerge chilufya, jonas sakuwaha, simon bwalya, julias stumbeko, justine zulu, salulani phiri, francis kombe and isaack chansa shuld have been encruded in the squad

  23. so u guys u have forgotten sate sate bcoz he missed a penatly and the way he played agaist ivory coast, thats a biggest mistake

  24. yes,Lubambo&mbola should be called too, more especially Lubambo Musonda.we going to wire Kenya.just wait &see the coach should not use one striker, two would be a great performance.

  25. Heading says PROVISIONAL SQUAD, to me this is not final squad that we shud be complaining about. I cant see any Pro here, so whats the hussle. Question is why do all coaches under 17, 20, 23 and senior national team pick Patson DAKA? Thereis something in the boy that you desk analysers and critics cannot see. Now you are saying Janza was better than Chicken, ohh pathetic cry babies!!!! Let them annouce the squad thats when we can cry not now. Patson Daka has a future, for the boy to be snatched from my team by Power then they have seen something in him and he just needs to be developed to be lethal. After all he was banging in goals in under 20s. The cry of ROK is real and thats should be our biggest worry now and FAZ should be shaken up otherwise football will be history very soon if Kalu and his corhots are not changed and booted out.

  26. Bobby Williamson has included several new faces in his provisional squad to prepare for next month s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to Congo Brazzaville. The inform Nakumatt attacking midfielder Peter Nzuki is among the beneficiaries as his four goals and several assists in Football Kenya Federation Premier league have caught the attention of the Scott.
