Prosper Chiluya’s move to Kabwe Warriors – How it happened

Former Zambia U-20 National Team defender Prosper Chliluya has returned to Kabwe based Super League side, Kabwe Warriors.

Chiluya joined the magnificent People’s team as a free agent after leaving defending Champions, Red Arrows on mutual consent.

This is a second stint for the left-back Prosper Chiluya who first joined Kabwe Warriors back in 2019 on a one-year loan deal from Kafue Celtic.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that Warriors is Chiluya’s fall back plan after his initial move to Europe broke down.

ZamFoot Crew sources at Nkoloma Stadium revealed that the talented left back was eying a move to Europe which did not materialise.

“Yes, he was initially supposed to move to Europe, that’s how the club accepted to let him go but it fell through.

He wanted to return but the club had moved on as they brought in the experienced Fackson Kapumbu in his slot,” the source said.

Chiluya was part of the Beston Chambeshi tutored Zambia U20 side that won the Africa Cup of nations in 2017.

The Kafue Celtic product has previously featured for Nkwazi, Pafos FC and United States of America side Bethlehem Steel FC.
