Prison Leopards will be aiming to continue their unbeaten run when they visit Trade Fair to face Forest Rangers in a week 10 clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Collect Boys last lost a game back in March against Chambishi and have now gone on a seven-month unbeaten streak.
This impressive streak began on the 23rd of March, 2022 when they drew 1 all against Indeni. Since then, Albert Kachinga’s boys have played 17 league games and remain undefeated.
On the other hand Forest Rangers will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering a first defeat of the season, 1-0 to FC MUZA.
Forest Rangers head coach Ian Bakala believes his team still has that winning mentality despite their loss last weekend.
“I think it’s a crucial game, we are coming from a loss. We are looking forward to getting points at home. For us the winning mentality is still there, we just have to be focused,” he said.
“We are lacking goal poachers. We have played nine games, and only two strikers have managed to score. We are lacking up there but in tomorrow’s game we have a young player who will start, he has recovered and hopefully he will give us goals tomorrow.”
Midfielder Clifford Mulenga says the mood in camp is good and the team is eager to return to winning ways.
“The mood in camp is very good. When you look at the nine games we have played we could have done better and could have been higher on the table but it is football sometimes results don’t go your way,” he said.
“We accepted the loss, it was a bitter pill to swallow but we understood it’s part of football. We just have to lift ourselves up and fight for the three points against Prison Leopards.”
In the previous four meetings, Three matches ended in a draw and Prison Leopards won the other one with Forest still chasing their first win over Albert Kachinga’s men.
A win for Prison Leopards could see them go top depending on the result in the Red Arrows vs Nkana game while a win for Fole Malembe could see them get back into the top four.
Kick off at Trade Fair Ground has been set for 15:00hrs Central African Time.
