The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Disciplinary Committee has fined Kabwe Warriors K20 000 and awarded Power Dynamos 3 points for their unplayed week 27 encounter which was scheduled for Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium on 6th August.
According to a letter dated 12th August written by FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala and made available to the ZamFoot Crew, Warriors violated article 110 ( failure to fulfill a fixture) and 109 (abandonment) of the FAZ Disciplinary code when they failed to show up for the match.
Abayellow has been awarded three points which takes their tally to 44 points for the season. The Magnificent People’s team has a week in which to pay the fine.
“We have considered the evidence adduced by the referee’s reports and applied article 31 of the FAZ Disciplinary code that states that the referee’s report is presumed accurate.
Accordingly, you violated article 110 ( failure to fulfill a fixture) and 109 (abandonment) of the FAZ Disciplinary code as your club failed to show up at the venue of the match after 30 minutes and refuse to play the match. You shall, therefore, receive the following sanctions :
- Your club forfeits the match as provided for in article 77 of the FAZ Disciplinary code.
- Power Dynamos Football Club has been awarded three (3) points with a 3-0 scoreline.
- You have been fined K20 000 and this amount should be paid within seven (7) days of delivery of this ruling.”
Kabwe Warriors have also been given three days in which to exculpate themselves and show cause why they should not be handed further sanctions which may include suspension and expulsion from the league for violating Article 13 (1) (c), Article 13 (1) (j) and Article 10 (3) and (3) g of the FAZ Constitution.
“Please note that the aggregation of these constitutional violations are punishable by either suspension or expulsion as stipulated in article 14 and 15 of the FAZ Constitution. Further note that while the sanctions for the FAZ Disciplinary Code breaches shall be implemented immediately, You are hereby directed to show cause why the sanctions for the Constitutional violations should not be effected . Your response must be submitted before the close of business on Friday 14th August 2020.”
