The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Disciplinary Committee (DC) has minted out fines to Konkola Blades and Power Dynamos for crowd trouble involving their clubs.
FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe said today that the two clubs have been warned and fined K2,500.00 respectively for the crowd trouble during the Blades v Mufulira Wanderers and Power v Zesco United games.
And FAZ head of Club Licensing Erick Mwanza has said the FA has received reports from Mufulira Wanderers, Zesco United and the match officials concerning the Week 19 match which was abandoned over the weekend.
Mwanza said the DC will convene on Friday to make a ruling on the game. He recommended that punitive measures be taken against the erring parties to ensure that a strong message is sent to would be perpetrators of violence or crowd trouble.
“It is totally unacceptable that a Super League match should be abandoned in this time and age,” Mwanza said.
“The stadiums should provide the right environment for the spectators, fans, partners and players,” he added.

I expect the DC to be fair though Mighty has something to lose. Now can the Match officials delay the game for 50 minutes. Really the game should be replayed with the remaining minutes that also a fair game for zesco too.
A replay is out, let them finish the remaining minutes of the game under closed doors at Shinde Stadium. No changes to the teams
Can our uncompromised FAZ come up with such a decision? playing behind doors.
Mighty Fans are becoming a problem …They almost disrupted the Blades game but the later has been fined…Secondly disciplinary measures should also be taken on Lwandamina for provoking the situation , fighting a fan, insulting the Mighty Assistant coach named Chewe as well as engineering the cancellation……
That is how my team, Kabwe Warriors, found itself in Division one. Silly fans, leading to the banning of home ground use. This robs you of home ground advantage and the gate takings (which fund some operations) assuming that your fans pay to enter.
