Photo Gallery: Copper Princesses Closely Edged by Brazil

The Zambia U17 Women’s National Team narrowly fell 1-0 to Brazil in their opening Group D match under the Felix Sanchez stadium lights at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Dominican Republic 2024.

An 18th minute strike from USA-based Brazil striker Juju Harris proved to be the difference in a tightly contested encounter where the Copper Princesses nearly grabbed an equaliser in added time when Blessing Maluba’s long-range strike hit the crossbar.

The Copper Princesses now focus on their next Group D fixture against Poland set for 01h00CAT on 21 October at the Felix Sanchez stadium. Poland drew 0-0 with Japan in their opening game.
