He prefers a number 6,8 or box to box role due to his ability to cover up for the mistakes of teammates and charge forward with dazzling pace and power. He was born on 24th December 1998 and spent his early childhood in Matero, Lusaka.
He did his Primary Education at Red tee private school while in his junior secondary education he attained it at Matero middle park and completed the senior section from the famous ‘The Kamwala high school.
The first step towards recognition in football is to join a team and he did that with his first well-established amateur club, black boy’s academy of Matero east where he spent a season after which he was spotted by Matero United who was campaigning in division one a third-tier FAZ league. Just a season with Matero United was enough as he was on the move and joined ‘tiger Tanaka’ Lusaka Tigers
Halfway through his first season at Lusaka tigers, a super league club Real Nakonde came through and asked for his services.
His stay at the Muchinga province outfit wasn’t a long one as he spent just 6 months with the club and again he was on the move.
“After I left Real Nakonde, I started training with NAPSA Stars but they took long to sign me then decided to join National Assembly who also at the time we’re in the super league and signed for a national assembly in the second round of the season and by the end of the season Circuit City signed me who had just won promotion to the super league,” Chitoshi told the ZamFoot Crew in an interview.
Facing difficulties helps you gain experience and to know how to combat problems. He is a player who has mostly been with teams fighting relegation and subsequently getting demoted.
Failure is not the end and quitting is not the solution, after his team Circuit City got demoted to the lower league he joined Lumwana Radiants who were in the super league by then. His qualities made him spend just a season with the uranium side as he was lured to the friendly city of Ndola by Forest Rangers.
Sometimes life hits a snag when you least expect, After signing for Forest Rangers, a club he wanted to impress in his debut season but things didn’t turn out the way he thought they would.
Talking about his first few months with Forest Rangers and the pre-season, Chitoshi felt let down by the injury he suffered.
“The injury I suffered during the six teams tournament in Lusaka against Green Eagles still sets as my worst football moment because I thought I would now settle and impress in the Super League, I broke my collarbone, and to be honest I felt bad but good enough is that I had the operation done and am okay despite spending a lot of time on the sidelines,” he said.
Chitoshi thinks the 2021/2022 season will prove to be a good one and has set targets of shining.
“Definitely next season nothing will stop me or come my way, am coming back very strong,” he said.
Every player has targets which he sets and has to meet each season which has to benefit the team but both Chitoshi and Forest Rangers failed to meet their targets.
“My target for the just-ended Zambian football season was to work hard and play for the national team and go to Europe now this didn’t go as planned an injury changed everything. And the team target was to win the league and play CAF club competition but we haven’t done that,” Chitoshi Chinga told the ZamFoot Crew.
Chitoshi Chinga revealed how his mother former Kabwe Warriors Executive played a big part in his career and having Isaac Chansa as a role model.
“I liked Isaac Chansa because of the way he was fighting in the game and growing up watching football was the key factor for me to play football, my mother Maureen Chisenga who was in the executive for Kabwe Warriors could always carry me when warriors are playing and from there I said to myself I can do what am watching,” he said.
Forest Rangers finished 12th for the 2020/2021 season with 45 points 6 behind CAF confederation cup last slot and chitoshi and company will hope for an improvement for the upcoming season.
Great story! Very inspirational hope he doesn’t loose sight of what is important and makes it happen
