Patson Daka starts for Leicester City against Napoli

Chipolopolo forward Patson Daka will this evening make his first Competitive start for English Premier League side, Leicester City Football Club.

The 2017 CAF young player of the year has been named in the starting lineup as he partners Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho upfront for the UEFA Europa League game against the Italian side Napoli.

Brenden Rogers hinted at it during the pre-match press conference saying his experience in European Competition could come in handy.

“They (opposition) teams are at a really high level, but certainly his (Daka’s) experience, and Bouba’s as well, they’ve played European games so they understand the competition. Those are players I absolutely feel I can play in this competition, like in the Premier League,” he said.

Jamie Vardy, James Maddison, Albrighton, Newcomer Ademola Lookman, and Youri Tielemans all start from the bench.

While the Foxes go into the game following defeat to English champions Manchester City, their Neapolitan visitors were able to beat old rivals Juventus with a late goal which preserves their perfect Serie A record.

The kick-off at the King Power Stadium is set at 21:00 Central African time. The match is live on Supersport 224 ( La Liga Channel)
