Patson Daka seeks professional stint in Austria

Power Dynamos top scorer, Patson Daka is in Austria attending trials at Red Bull Salzburg, a top tier team in that country.

Salzburg, who are coached by Spaniard, Oscar Garcia who won the 2015/2016 Bundesliga and are currently lying 3rd with 25 points,4 behind the league leaders.

Daka is currently the indigenous Zambian top scorer meaning that he is the most happening locally based Zambian striker.

He has pace allied with a physical presence.

The former Zambia U17 skipper is a workaholic who doesn’t wait for balls to be suppied to him but he drops deep to fight for every ball without giving the center halves a moment’s peace.

He has ability to score with both feet as well as with his head.

With 12 goals in the league and 1goal in the Barclays Cup, Patson has netted a total of 13 goals. The goals have come impressively via headers, volleys, tap-ins and non from the spot kick.

The 13 goals means that Patson is the 3rd highest scorer in the 2016 Faz/Mtn Zambian Super Leagu with 3 games to go before close of the season.

His impressive form has also earned him a couple of national team call ups for the world cup qualifiers, but have unfortunately both ended in him being dropped.

A move to Austria would be good for Patson to advance his game and for Salzburg who will have a young proven goal scorer with a lot of potential yet to be unleashed.

Power Dynamos Fans Forum wish our top scorer Patson all the best!!

  1. Indigenous Zambian?????????? c’m on zamfoot u can do better here. A Zambian is a Zambian no two ways, stop the divide its rotten in football. We dont need it. Walter Bwalya is Zambian and on 22 goals, very prolific. Good luck Daka boy

  2. I really hope the lad can nail this one. We are in desperate need of our young guns making it in Europe whilst they are young.

  3. Good club would be a good move if it came to fruition.a lot of African players have gone on to have good careers after stint at this club .sadio mane was there before Southampton move .Club is also currently home to Liverpool starlet Andre wisdom

  4. Hopefully they r not looking for a seasoned goal scorer; otherwise Patson will flunk it again! But he is a promising junior and might just clinch it.

  5. Zamfoot……. its important that u clarify yo well informed opinion on a matter that bloggers appear to hv a misunderstanding! Please educate us on the Walter Bwalya saga! At what stage has Faz so far reached in sorting his papers? Zamfoot r u privy to the goings on or not? If yes, we wud appreciate it very much to b put in the know, otherwise stop creating impressions that we r all misinformed by the media as usuall!

    • Gentlemen, what do you mean by sorting out WALTER’S papers? Are there any papers to sort out? I ask this question because Walter Bwalya has played for the Zambia National Soccer Team before (Cosafa Cup) should be 2 years ago or so.

  6. I don’t understand…why FAZ is still so hung up with this ‘indigenous Zambian’ issue..Look at France, Portugal, Cape Verde..even Morocco had a Brazilian immigrant playing for them.

  7. Kampinda…so true my brother we’re losing out on talent , not taking advantage of duel citizenship. The likes of the Musonda brothers could bring a new dimension to our national team.
On a brighter note ,rumour has it that Walter Bwalya will be invited for the next coming fixtures , I compare this guy to the late Kelvin Mutale and am sure he will make a positive impact in the squad. Let’s wait n see.
