Chipolopolo forward Patson Daka is currently in Abu Dhabi with his Leicester City teammates as they start their one week training camp.
The Foxes flew to Abu Dhabi on Sunday for a week-long warm weather training camp during the FIFA World Cup winter break, switching from rainy Seagrave for the blistering United Arab Emirates sun.
This comes barely a week after Patson Daka tied the knot with Athlete Suwilanji Mpondela in Dubai.
Daka will be looking to get in good shape for the second round of the 2022/2023 English Premier League season which resumes next month after the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
The 2015/16 Premier League Champions are without seven players who are taking part in the World Cup including leading goalscorer and play maker James Madison hence Brendan Rogers traveled with a mixture of first team and Academy youngsters.
Leicester shook their travels with a session at 4pm local time on Monday. A series of stretches bookended some ball work, as they began to acclimatise to the heat and time zone.
Many of City’s stars have already enjoyed warmer climates since their 2-0 Premier League win away to West Ham United, which added the gloss to a positive run of form – a sixth victory in nine games in all competitions. They are next in action on Tuesday 20 December, taking on MK Dons in the Carabao Cup Fourth Round.
Before that fixture takes place, a week of work will now see the Foxes participate in a series of warm weather sessions, conditioning their bodies for a return to competitive action just before Christmas.
The Zambian international has scored three goals and assisted two in 14 appearances so far this season.
