Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka is happy with the work the Foxes are putting in Thailand on their preseason tour.
Daka and his teammates are working hard in the hot sun of Bangkok in preparation for the 2023/2024 English Championship season.
Daka believes Leicester City players need the fitness they are getting from the work in Bangkok ahead of the new season.
“It’s pretty hot and it’s been an amazing session to be honest. You can see the way that I’m sweating. It was a great challenge and everyone is excited to work, everyone is motivated, and it was a great session,” Daka told LCFC.Com
“I think there’s a balance. There’s running, there’s football, but also a combination of the two, which is interesting because you know even when you’re running, there’s some time to play with the ball.”
“We know how much we need this fitness and that this is the perfect time to do so. We need everyone to be fit, everyone to be ready and just to be their level best,” he added.
Liverpool will provide a Premier League test for City during the Singapore leg of the trip on Sunday as the squad out in southeast Asia continues to take shape for Enzo Maresca’s first pre-season in charge of the Foxes.
“I would say it’s amazing that we had the opportunity to work in good conditions. Everyone is giving their best. We are all connected, supporting each other, working together and the feeling is amazing around the team. And we just look forward to what’s ahead.”
Leicester City are currently on a pre-season tour of Thailand and Patson Daka is enjoying his time in the country so far.
Enzo Maresca’s side are preparing for the new Sky Bet Championship season. A friendly with Port FC under closed doors comes next before taking on Liverpool in Singapore.
