In case you missed out in the 2019/20 FAZ Women’s League Lusaka Province Week 10 action the past weekend, well National Assembly welcomed Pataaki in the Showgrounds in a match a lot of people thought was a walk in the park for The Parliamentarians but Boy Oh Boy!! It was a shock result as Assembly suffered a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Newcomers Pataaki in a match that was played in front of their home supporters.
The Parliamentarians were the first to find the back of the net through their right-back Dorothy Lungu but a remarkable comeback saw two brave goals scored by Jessy Zulu and Inonge Muyamwa to send Pataaki in a 2-1 lead and that was all the Olympia based outfit needed to walk away with maximum 3 points at the Showgrounds which left the home team with headache thinking where they could have gone wrong.
This result is a Morale booster for Pataaki as they will be bubbling with confidence going into this weekend match away to BUSA Queens.
On the other hand, the Parliamentarians will hope to bounce back this weekend when they travel to Nkoloma Stadium to face a resurgent Red Arrows side and they would want to avenge a 4-nil loss they suffered at the hands of the Air Women two weeks ago at the same venue in the 2020 FAZ Lusaka Provincial Women’s Football Tournament match and will have all to play for as long as they hope to redeem themselves and get back to winning ways.
