Zambian FIFA referee Janny Sikazwe says he is ready to prove his innocence over alleged bias officiating during the CAF Champions League semi-final match between Tunisian side Esperance and Premiero Agosto of Angola.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) disciplinary board chairman Raymond Hack suspended Sikazwe over allegations of corruption, violation of CAF statutes, regulations and disciplinary code.
Sikazwe said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that he is ready to appear before the CAF disciplinary board to prove his innocence.
“Of course I am ready to go for hearing. I am not worried about anything because my conscience is clear,” he said.

Truth is Manny’s officiating during the Augusto game was pathetic, whether that was due to corruption is hard to tell. Maybe it was just one of his bad days. And just before that continental assignment he also made a very strange decision during the local game of a penalty. Let’s hope all this was just bad days without any corruption connotations
