Over two decades ago Chipolopolo head coach Beston Chambeshi endeared himself to some Tunisian football faithful with his exploits for Club sportif de Hammam Lif.
Club representatives and some of his former teammates paid him a surprise call as the Chipolopolo were about to get down to training at the Stade Hammadi Arebi in Tunis. Chambeshi was presented with a Club Sportif Hammam Lif replica and a framed image of the 1995 squad that he was part of. Chambeshi spent two seasons in Tunisia and dazzled with his them silky skills that left a permanent imprint on Tunisian football.
The Chipolopolo face Tunisia today at 21:00 hours (CAT) in a Group B Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
