Our target in Kenya is a positive result – Fathi

Zambia’s envoys in the CAF Confederation Cup, NAPSA Stars on Wednesday afternoon arrived in Nairobi, Kenya ahead of the pre-group stage first leg against Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.

Speaking to the ZAMFOOT Crew, upon arrival at Karibu Airport in Nairobi, head coach Mohamed Fathi said his team was looking for a positive result and to finish a lot of work in Kenya.

“Our target is, first of all, to have a positive result from here [Kenya] of course we have two plans what we need is to have a positive result and finish a lot of work here in Nairobi,” he said.

Napsa stars are in Nairobi without one of their key strikers in Emmanuel Mayuka who was left out after getting an injury in a league match encounter against Red Arrows and Fathi said his technical bench will employ some spectacular tactics in an effort of collecting a positive result.

“Emmanuel Mayuka is injured from Arrows game from that day he is not yet fully recovered he is still under recovery program we are hoping he will be back for the second leg but the status of Emmanuel Mayuka is injured that’s why we left him and Bornwell Mwape. He is an experienced player and we have worked very hard to bring him here and he was on top form before he was injured so we are praying for him to get back because we have issues with our frontline but we have good tactics we have planned it again it means the front line and the midfielders will be able to get us goals,” Fathi said.

Napsa will take on Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC on Sunday at 14:00 local time (15:00 Zambian time) at the Nyayo International Stadium with the return match set to be played in Lusaka a week later.
