Zambia national team midfielder Clatous Chota Chama says the Copper Bullets are targeting winning the two friendly matches that the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has organized against Niger and Benin.
The Tanzania based Midfielder said the team is competitive hence will not take the matches as friendlies.
“We have Africa Cup qualifiers coming up next month, these friendlies will up us gel together as a team,” he said
“Our primary target is to win both matches, we are competitors and we will take these games seriously despite being friendlies.”
The Zambia national team will take on Niger in Niamey on Thursday and wrap up the international break with a friendly against Benin on Sunday in Cotonou.
Coach Aggrey Chiyangi is using these friendly matches to prepare his team for the 2020 Cameroon CHAN second leg qualifier against Eswatini to be played later this month and the 2021 Africa cup qualifiers against Algeria and Zimbabwe in November this year.
