Zambian winger Austin Muwowo has joined Moroka Swallows on loan from Orlando Pirates, The Buccaneers have confirmed.
According to a statement on their official website monitored by the ZamFoot Crew, Muwowo will be with the Dube Birds for the 2021/2022 DSTV Premiership campaign.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Moroka Swallows for the services of Austin Muwowo on a season-long loan for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
The Zambian international who spent the past two seasons with the Buccaneers will be joined by new signing Monnapule Saleng who will gain valuable first-team experience with the Dube Birds in the upcoming campaign.”
Muwowo joined Orlando Pirates in July 2019 from Nkana.
The attacking midfielder spent his last season in Zambia on loan at Forest Rangers and finished the 2019 transitional Superleague as joint top goalscorer with Laudit Mavugo and Zikiru Adams. The former Konkola Mine Police ace also made 8 assists for Fole Malembe in that same season.
Finally we can now get to see him play.
I believe its high time the Zambian players to focus playing North of Africa than in SA.

Timing of Muwowo’s transfer did not favour him. There were already two Zambians on the books of Pirates. It would be a rarity to have 3 players from one foreign country featuring in a match at the same time. There was also, that shortly after his switch coach Micho left the team.
I would advise that when considering a transfer, the scouts should also look at factors outside the pitch

@Slim its unfortunate that our very own local coaches are not into advancing their qualifications otherwise Zambian league would have been very attractive. And clubs in Zambia keep exchanging the same coaches throughout . Afuma uku aya uku. So we weont see anything new in our league for along time to come
