Opposition Watch: DR Congo’s winless streak continues

Two times African Champions DR Congo suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Burkina Faso in a pre-AFCON warm match.

Blati Toure gave the Stallions a lead in the 36th minute to silence the crowd at Kinshasa’s Banyis Stadium on Wednesday.

Mohammed Konate then doubled the lead to the West Africans 2-0 up.

After the break, the Leopards took control of the match and got a reward in the 57th minute after Chancel Mbemba pulled one back.

Four days ago, Congo was held by Angola in Abu Dhabi in another friendly match.

The Leopards will clash with the Chipolopolo Boys on January 17, in the opening Group F match.

Morocco and Tanzania have already arrived in the Ivorian coastal city of San Pedro.
