Kaizer Chiefs are set to release seven players from last season’s squad, including Zambian international forward Lazarous Kambole, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
This comes after the Soweto giants announced the signing of ten new players following the lifting of FIFA sanctions that forbade them to sign players in the last two transfer windows.
After a tough two years with the gold and black outfit, Kambole will be made available for other clubs to acquire his services on a loan or permanent basis.
The 27-year-old joined Kaizer Chiefs from Zambia Premier League giants, ZESCO United after breakthrough performances for the Ndola outfit in the CAF Champions League.
The fifteen-times capped Zambian international has struggled to command a starting place having scored one goal and registered one assist in 40 games for AmaKhosi in all competitions.
Kambole is not short of suitors with Tanzanian Premier League sides Yanga and Azam having both declared interest in the highly rated Zambian forward.
Additionally, there is a possibility that the Chingola native may decide to join another PSL side following the path of many other South African-based Chipolopolo players who transferred between PSL clubs.
An outside probability could be the temptation of returning ‘home’ to reunite with his former club, ZESCO United.
It is worth mentioning that Kambole still has a year left on his lucrative contract with ‘The Glamour Boys’ which may prove to be a negotiating stumbling block for any team that is keen to sign him.
Only time will tell where the road leads for Lazarous Kambole going into next season.

Very unfortunate
@ Popeye, it’s good for Kambole. South African clubs have a bad attitude torwards foreign players. The only exception was Mbesuma.
@Slim You are very right . Soweto clubs are extremely worse
Kambole must not be discouraged. He did not deliver, truth be told and only himself can explain why. He must look at Mwape Musonda who joined Orlando Pirates and was regarded as a failure but after joining Black Arrows OF Kwazulu Natal, he was the top scorer in the PSL. Same story with Augustine Mulenga, now he is a hot property.
Sounds horrible when we see 40 games played 1 goal, 1 assist…from a ‘highly rated’ striker…in essence many of these games he came in as a substitute…
Time to move on baba, whatever the case, MOVE ON!
Kambole will be joining Tanzania side (Young Africans). The Tanzania league is now highly sponsored and so attracting many zambian players
