Kabwe Warriors’ survival hopes suffered a set back on Monday in North Western after they lost 2-1 to Lumwana Radiants in a lunch time kickoff.
The match was postponed due to a heavy downpour on Sunday.
Ex-Warriors striker Josphat Kasusu opened the scores in the 36 minute thanks to assist from Chama Sekwe.
With a partisan crowd at Lumwana Grounds, the visitors tried to push for an equaliser but it was the Zeddy Saileti side which extended their lead four minutes before the hour mark thanks to a Chanda Mushili strike.
Warriors got their consolation in injury time thanks to Nicholas Mulilo’s strike.
The win sees Lumwana move to 7th on the log with 52 points, 2 behind Power Dynamos and 7 points off fourth placed Nkana.
For Warriors, they are still sandwiched between Nchanga Rangers and Mufulira Wanderers who are on 36 and 33 points respectively.
Brave beat Red Arrows 2-0 on Sunday while Maite will be away to Konkola Blades on Wednesday a relegation scrap game at Konkola Stadium.
