Relegation-threatened Nakambala Leopards have part ways with their head coach Albert Mpande and his first assistant Nabert Phiri.
According to a press statement from Nakambala Leopards which was availed to the ZamFoot Crew, The management decided to terminate the contracts of the duo because if a string of poor results.
“Following the performance preview meeting held on 02/03/2020, it was decided that both contracts of the duo coaches be terminated based on a stream of poor results by the club.”
Mpande was in charge of Nakambala for 12 games but only managed two wins (Green Buffaloes and Mighty Mufulira Wanderers on the 28th of December 2019) losing seven times and drawing three games.
In the 12 games, Mphande has only managed 9 points out of a possible 36 and Nakambala Leopards remains deep in relegation waters third from bottom with just 17 points after 24 rounds of matches.
Abuild Mwale will take charge of the team in the interim before a new coach is appointed.
