ZANACO head coach Numba Mumamba has renewed interest in young defender Sekanji Siame as he looks to reinforce ahead of the 2025/2026 MTN Super League season.
After completing the acquisition of John Chishimba from ZESCO United, Numba has now turned to Siame who he rates highly.
Siame won the league with Power Dynamos but was not a regular in the starting line up for Osward Mutapa’s side.
The Sporting Lusaka product joined Abayellow at the start of the season after spending the previous season on loan at Konkola Blades where he impressed.
Sekanji was described as Cool, calm and collected at the 2023 U-17 AFCON despite Zambia being eliminated in the group stage.
The youngster is among the few ball playing defenders in the league and can play a number of positions like central defence, right back and the defensive midfielder role.
Numba wants to build a squad that will compete for the league this season after a disappointing campaign last season that saw them survive relegation only on the final day of the season.
