Northern Province D1: Malalo visit Mporokoso as Mungwi host Mpulungu

Malalo Police road to the playoffs keeps getting clear as their dominance on the top continues since week 1.

On the rise, Chintelelwe travels to Kateshi this weekend.

1. MPOROKOSO UNITED vs
MALALO POLICE

Mporokoso United is third on the table, last weekend they traveled to Mpulungu and collected maximum points. They welcome Malalo Police who have gone 15 games without a loss and are dreaming of returning to the playoffs to represent the province.

With Mporokoso looking to cement their position on the table and Malalo on a mission. This is our game of the weekend.

2.MUNGWI HOTSPURS vs MPULUNGU UNITED.

The power of the community team Mungwi Hotspurs will host Mpulungu united at the famous Martin Mwamba ground which is a fierce place for opponents as many fail to collect maximum points.

Mpulungu will have a lot of work to do for them to win this one because it’s a tough fixture. Hotspurs lost in midweek and are wounded. Their clap back every time they lose is quite difficult to contend with by their next opponents.

3.KASAMA UNITED vs MPANDE

United is coming from a loss in midweek which moved them to the sixth position on the table. Mpande also lost to Zesco in midweek. Tough match to call this one.

Games between the two teams are highly competitive and if you are in Kasama this is the game to watch.

4.ZESCO CHIEFS vs MPOROKOSO FLYING EAGLES

Mporokoso Policemen will travel to Kasama to take on Electricity boys who are coming from a huge win against Waba Naba boys.

Mporokoso are in deep waters on the log, out of 14 games they have 11 points whilst Zesco has played 15 games with 18 points, If flying Eagles win this one they might be out of the red zone…

5.MPAJI vs NDEKE

Mpaji had a good outing aginst Malalo Police drawing both games. Ndeke collected 3 points out of the expected 6 aginst kateshi.

Winning 1 and losing 1.
Ndeke has been bad on the road this season and if they need to contest for the playoff slot they need to start working on their away performance but they face a highly spirited and motivated mpaji who have not lost in 5 games.

6.CHISHIMBA GREEN EAGLES vs TAZARA BLUE STARS

Green eagles are silently rising on the log, in midweek they won against St. Luke and moved to fifth position.

They host Tazara Blue Stars who had a good game away in mungwi collecting maximum points. Another tough game to look out for this weekend.

7.ZAM UNITED vs LWANSASE

It’s been a terrible season for Zam United so far in the league this season they have only won 1 match, 2 draws, and lost 11 games while Lwansase has played 14 games won 2, drawn five, and have suffered seven defeats with both teams languishing in the relegation, let’s see what happens after 90+ minutes.

8.KATESHI COFFEE vs CHINTELELWE

The Coffee boys are in high spirits after winning against Ndeke in Midweek.

They host on song Chintelelwe who also won in midweek against united. Kateshi are a difficult side at home and the combination of “Mpundu and Tafuna” will have to work extra hard to penetrate their defense.

9.ABERCORN vs ST.LUKE

Abercorn will welcome St. Luke who have been in fine form despite coming from 2 defeats in their previous matches, St Luke will do anything for them to win this game, Abercorn are a difficult side at home dispite them failing to fufill some away fixtures.
