Nkana have been banned from using Nkana Stadium for the entire 2023/24 season.
According to a verdict by the FAZ Disciplinary Committee, the Kitwe giants has also been ordered to find a venue 60km from Wusakile.
This follows crowd trouble in the 2-0 defeat to Power Dynamos in the Kitwe derby which saw the halted for over 15 minutes after a female match official and a police officer were stoned.
Nkana is likely to appeal because the crowd trouble happened at Arthur Davies Stadium and not Nkana Stadium
There were concerns that either Lumwana Grounds or Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu Stadium could have been the likely host for Nkana’s home matches.
Those concerns have been downplayed as the distance between Kitwe and Chililabombwe is 65km (40 miles).
Should the ban stand, then Konkola Stadium will be home to Zambia’s decorated club.
