Nkana rob Zanaco as Dynamos cause upset at Buffaloes

Nkana FC pulled one of their ‘biggest’ wins of the season when they easily despatched log leaders Zanaco to close the gap at the top to 5 points.

On fire Nkana striker Walter Bwalya scored a brace on either side of the half while Ronald Kampamba and Simon Bwalya contributed a goal each.

Rodrick Kabwe and Isaac Chansa scored the goals for the visitors.

This was only Zanaco’s third loss of the season as  they remained stuck on 55 points while  Nkana moved to 50 points.

There was a shock result in Lusaka when relegation threatened Lusaka Dynamos got maximum points away against fourth placed Green Buffaloes with a 3 – 2 win.

Luka Chamanga, Mutale Bwalya and Webster Muzaza scored a goal each for the visitors with Mweene Mumbi and Jack Chirwa scoring for the Army side.

The win sees Lusaka Dynamos halt a three match winless streak which has seen them concede 10 goals in the last two games against Power Dynamos and Zanaco.

At Nkoloma Stadium Nkwazi went back smiling when they picked a point off Red Arrows when they drew 1 – 1 against Red Arrows.

Midfielder Steward Chikandiwa scored a well taken free kick on 9 minutes but the Police side failed to stump their authority on the game despite Arrows looking disjointed in their play.

Arrows looked stronger after the break and they equalised when Joseph Banda’s cross frpm the left found the head of Festus Mbewe made no mistake for the equaliser.
