Record 13 time Zambia Super League Champions, Nkana secured their second win of the season while Nkwazi ended FC MUZA’s unbeaten run.
There were also wins for the Mabanga Boys, Green Buffaloes, Power Dynamos and ZESCO United.
Kalampa finally recorded their second win of the season as they beat Konkola Blades 2-1 thanks to goals from Eric Yema and Royd Katuna.
Konkola Blades scored their goal through Sekanji Siame. The former Zambia U-17 National Team defender on loan from Sporting Lusaka has been involved in two goals in two starts so far this season.
Sekanji assisted Blades’ goal in the win over Mutondo Stars before scoring his first goal in the Super League this afternoon.
At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Emmanuel Chabula returned from injury with an added time winner to end FC MUZA’s 17 match unbeaten run.
FC MUZA last lost a game prior to today in April, 2-0 against Kabwe Warriors.
Joseph Sabobo Banda scored the opener in the 22nd minute before an own goal from Henry Besa could level matters and then Chabula stole the show with an injury time winner.
Kansanshi Dynamos started their life post the Boyd Mulwanda era with a 2-0 win over Kabwe Warriors.
The win is Kansanshi Dynamos’ first in seven games and for Kabwe Warriors the loss puts an end to a four match winning run.
Green Buffaloes recovered from their heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Magnificent People’s team over the weekend to beat Zanaco 1-0.
Prison Leopards also returned to winning ways as they beat Forest Rangers while NAPSA Stars and Trident FC played to a goalless draw.
Power Dynamos eased past Mutondo Stars 2-0 thanks to goals from Godfrey Ngwenya and Jacob Kaunda.
ZESCO United ended their three match winless run thanks to a Moise Lola Kanda lone strike.
