Record 13 time Super League Champions, Nkana moved up to 4th place on Sunday following a narrow 1-0 win over Mufulira Wanderers.
Idris Ilunga Mbombo scored the only goal of the game in the 31st minute off an Emmanuel Mutale assist.
The win takes Nkana to 4th place with 43 points, five adrift of log leaders Powerful Power Dynamos.
Elsewhere, Lumwana Radiants saw off struggling Green Buffaloes 2-0 to move out of the relegation zone.
After a lively first 45 minutes Charles Lubasi scored in additional time of the first stanza from Reuben Bangala’s creation from the right wing to make sure Lumwana ended the first half with the lead.
Paul Tembo added a second for the Uranium Boys six minutes after the hour mark off a Richard Zulu corner, 2-0 the match ended.
A win means Lumwana Radiants are out of the relegation zone. The Uranium Boys now occupies 13th position with 30 points.
