NKANA FOOTBALL CLUB STATEMENT ON PLAYER STATUS COMMITTEE JUDGEMENT
Dear Nkana FC Family,
NKANA Football Club wishes to inform its supporters, all stakeholders, and the general public that we have received a judgment from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Player Status Committee regarding our MTN Super League Week 3 match against Green Buffaloes, held at Nkana Stadium on August 30, 2025, which we won via a 1-0 scoreline.
The Committee has decided to dock us three points from our victory, citing a player registration issue involving our player Nduna Zulu, following a complaint from Green Buffaloes FC.
While we respect the process, we firmly believe that this outcome does not reflect the diligence and professionalism with which our club operates.
We want to assure our loyal supporters and stakeholders that we fulfilled all our responsibilities in registering all our players. The issue regarding Nduna Zulu’s registration occured due to a system glitch in the FAZ registration process, and we are committed to seeking justice.
Nkana will be appealing this judgement to the Appeals Committee, hoping for a fair reconsideration. We trust in the integrity of the process and are optimistic about having this decision overturned.
We kindly ask all our supporters to remain calm and united during this ongoing process. Your support means the world to us, and together, we will overcome this challenge and continue to strive for excellence on and off the pitch.
Wami Katanga
