Zesco United have announced the signing of Nigerian duo Alaekwe Chijioke and Ifoni Pepo.
The two West Africans have signed 2 year deals and already linked up with their new teammates.
Chijioke and Pepo were unveiled on Wednesday together with Kabaso Chongo and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba in Ndola
Chongo and Mubanga who are Chipolopolo regulars have both signed two year deals with the CAF Confederation Cup representatives.
Chijioke, 27, a striker played for Akwa United in his homeland while Pepo, a 25 year old winger has been snapped from Oman’s top-flight side Sur SC, bringing his speed and agility to the team.
The Ndola giants are expected to make more signings.
Free agents Augustine Mulenga and Clatous Chama have been linked with moves to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga could also be heading in that direction from Power Dynamos.
Left back Zachariah Chilongoshi, who has featured for Prison Leopards, Power Dynamos and Napsa Stars is also on his way to Zesco United.

Ndola, (Wednesday, 9th July 2025)- ZESCO United Football Club is thrilled to announce the acquisition of four new players to bolster the squad for the upcoming 2025/26 MTN Super League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
The club welcomes Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, a 28-year-old Zambian international midfielder who rejoins ZESCO United from Al-Madina SC of Libya, bringing his wealth of experience to the team on a 2-year contract.
Kabaso Chongo, a 32-year-old Zambian defender, joins ZESCO United from Kabwe Warriors, adding defensive solidity to the squad on a 2-year deal.
Alaekwe Chijioke, a 27-year-old Nigerian international striker, brings his goal-scoring prowess to ZESCO United, having previously played for Akwa United in the Nigerian top flight, signing a 2-year contract.
Ifoni Pepo, a 25-year-old Nigerian winger, joins ZESCO United from Oman’s top-flight side Sur SC, bringing his speed and agility to the team on a 2-year deal.
These new additions are expected to make an immediate impact, strengthening the squad and enhancing the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
