MTN Super League side Nchanga Rangers have completed the signing of Burkinabe forward Aboubacar Traoré, The ZamFoot Crew has learned.
The Chingola-based outfit has finalised all formalities, with the 29-year-old attacker officially putting pen to paper after impressing the club’s technical bench during his assessment period.
Traoré was already included in the matchday squad on Friday but remained an unused substitute as Nchanga Rangers played out a goalless draw with Mutondo Stars, an early indication of the club’s confidence in his readiness to contribute.
The experienced forward brings significant continental exposure, having previously turned out for Bobo Sports, RC Bobo Dioulasso, Sya Foot and Sonabel in Burkina Faso, before spells with Hearts of Oak in Ghana and Maniema Union in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On the international stage, Traoré played a key role in helping Burkina Faso’s local-based Stallions secure qualification for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
However, he missed the final tournament after completing a move to Maniema in DR Congo prior to the competition.
Nchanga Rangers will be hoping Traoré’s experience and attacking quality add depth and cutting edge to their squad as they continue their MTN Super League campaign.
